There’s something special about

being able to say

“woman-owned.”

AS A FEMALE BUSINESS OWNER — YOU GET IT.

You know that feeling of complete pride you get when you talk about your business, because you know how much work you put in to get to where you are now.

As women, the odds can often feel stacked against us, and success can feel like an uphill battle... which is exactly why I set out to help women-owned businesses grow.

And together, we can accomplish anything under the sun.

Meet Lauren.

Founder of Scarlett Sunrise, a marketing studio for female business owners who want to grow their brands online. Contrary to a typical creative’s career path, I gained the majority of my experience from my time serving in the military.

Not Your Average Veteran

When you first read the words “veteran-owned,” you probably pictured a male soldier walking around in full battle-rattle with a gun and a helmet, right?

Yeah…not quite.

Not all veterans are the same—I’m much more peacemaker than battlefield, and I couldn’t be more thankful for my 7 years serving in the Air Force.

The military was such a transformative, positive experience for me, and although the role of an Active Duty Airman couldn’t be further from the role of a social media marketer, the supporting skillset is much more similar than you’d think...

My core values

Communication

The foundation of every strong and successful relationship is communication. In working with me, you can be certain that I’ll always prioritize honesty, trust, and effective collaboration.

Respect

My most cherished value developed from my experience in the Air Force is respect. No matter who you are, where you’re from, what you believe, or who you love, you have my respect, always.

Dedication

When I commit to something, I devote all of my energy to it—whether it’s motherhood, serving my country, or helping yourbusiness thrive—I’ll give everything I have, and work hard to deliver the best possible results.

On the Favorites List

Day of the week

Saturday—it simply feels so light; so full of opportunity.

Subject to learn

Psychology—there isn’t enough space on this site for me to add all the reasons why I love Psych.

Drink

Sweet tea—coffee is a close second, of course (toddler mom life), but sweet tea definitely wins.

Pastime

Learning about history—I’m a huuuge history nerd. I’m actually currently in the process of mapping out my genealogy and a future trip to Scotland to explore it!

Vaca spot

Vail, Colorado—I hate being cold, but I make an exception for this gorgeous mountainside ski town. It’s basically a Hallmark movie set, and I’m here for it.

Season

Fall, for sure—growing up in the midwest, the beautiful colors of the changing leaves always amazed me. (And don’t even get me started on Fall candles. Burning them all season is non-negotiable.)

Place to live

Long Beach, California—I swore up and down that I’d never live in the city, but I couldn’t love it more. There’s so much life, so much inspiration, everywhere you turn.

Place to Live

When my daughter, Scarlett, was born at sunrise, it solidified that, in my world, all good things seem to happen when the sun comes up.

I believe that each morning’s light brings a new opportunity for growth and success—which is exactly what I want to create for you.

Scarlett Sunrise

Because everything good starts with a sunrise.
