It says right on my website that I’m a Veteran. It’s something you need to know if you’re going to work with me for a multitude of reasons. You need to know I’m a Veteran because my entire adult life (up until the past year) was spent in the military. That’s no short amount of time and I’m definitely NOT your average person. Working with a Veteran IS NOT the same as working with someone who has never served. THAT’S A FACT!
Seven years, 3 deployments, 2 duty stations, and multiple TDY’s later and here I am…A Veteran.
When I work on something I give it my all and put in the hours until the product or project has my absolute best effort put into it. Not because I’m nice, I mean I am nice, but because I was trained to work that way. *emphasis on the word trained*. I may not be in the military anymore but the way my mind was taught to think and operate doesn’t go away that quickly. Some might call this conditioning…idk lol.
When I say that the strategy side of social media marketing is my jam that’s because I thoroughly enjoy it. This will probably make me sound like a nerd but I literally get an adrenaline rush from mapping out all the possible options a business can take to grow their influence either online or within their community. It’s a challenge that I excel at and I LOVE IT!
To be honest, in order to be successful in the military you have to be strategic. Strategic in your job because it’s the military after all and strategic in your entire career because it really is a game of strategy and you sure as shit better learn how to play that game. Let’s talk about some of the things I bring to the table.
In the military, I was professionally trained how to:
literally, this list could go on for about 7 more pages but I think you get the point.
Those are some things that make me feel very qualified. You probably didn’t have to know them but I want you to. I felt like I needed to say it somewhere that was more permanent than an Instagram story.
I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
I love to learn about why we think the way we do and how it shapes our lives. The exact thing you need to be looking at when you are marketing. How can you market to your ideal client/customer if you don’t understand them and even more so if you don’t know how to put yourself in their shoes. If you’re solving a problem for them, you need to be able to TELL them you’re solving that problem. I’m oddly really good at this! Just saying.
I’m actually creating a course where I teach you how to switch shoes with your ideal client/customer so that you can actually speak their language and market directly to them. Keep an eye out, you can sign up for it starting in a few weeks.
Ok, that’s all. Basically, this is a journal entry but if you’re going to be my client you need to know who you’re working with. I think that’s so important and you need to know I bring the fire. Thank you for being here! Follow me on Instagram if you don’t already.
