We are in the digital age. Nearly everyone has a cell phone and belongs to at least one social media channel. If someone is interested in learning more about your business but can’t find you online then immediately a small seed of speculation is formed. Usually, that potential customer is wondering whether your business is even legit and if you are legit, are you still open.
You are more likely to have repeat customers when they’re able to engage with you through social media and consistently see your name popping up on their feeds. This reminds them that you still exist and brings them back for more.
By having your business on social media you are able to link your website, directions (if you have a physical location), and have a form of customer service all in one place. Not to mention it’s happening on a platform that already has millions, if not billions, of users. HELLO, HUGE NEW CUSTOMER BASE!
Social media gives you an avenue to share the new products or services you offer immediately with your audience and to others interested. Tip: You can gain new leads by utilizing target hashtags. You no longer have to pay for those radio ads that fall on uninterested ears or cross your fingers hoping a customer stops by and tries your new pumpkin spice donut and tells all their friends about it. Word of mouth is GREAT but it can happen a lot faster with social media. (one share of your content can reach WORLDWIDE audiences and is no longer confined to your small town). You like how that sounds, right?
